Tonsillitis

 

·        Tonsillitis is the infection of the tangential tonsils. The tonsils work as a defensive barrier of the body on two sides.

·        The dust and pollution is prevented from entering inside.

·        This is seen more in the children than in adults.

·        The tonsils are situated on either side of the nasopharynx.Increase in their size is only called tonsillitis.

 

Reasons:

·        In throat the bacteria streptococcus causes infection spreads due to various viruses.

·        Taking cool drinks and cool air/atmosphere may trigger it.

 

Symptoms:

·        Throat pain and burning

·        Hoarseness of voice

·        Fever, colds, weakness irritability

·        Ear pain, head ache

·        Dryness in throat

·        Redness in throat

·        Foul odor in mouth

·        Lack of Dental hygiene
